Mary Weber Obituary

Mary A. Weber

Keansburg

Mary A. Weber, of Keansburg, died at home on December 11, 2013. Her great loves in life were her family and the VFW. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post 2179, where she served as President of the Auxiliary from 1989-1990, 1997-1998, 2001-2002, 2004-2005 and 2007-2010. She was also President of the District Six Posts of Monmouth County. She was affectionately known as Mrs. VFW. She has received many honors and recognition for all of her work for the Post and for the Veterans. She served as Co-Editor of the Post's newsletter with her husband, and ran flag programs for the local schools for years; and every month went to the Veteran's Memorial Home in Menlo Park to volunteer her time with the veterans.

Mary was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Kathleen. She is survived by the love of her life, her husband, Frank Weber of Keansburg; also known as "Honey Poo"; a son, Robert Stiles and his wife Deone of CA; whom she was happily able to reconnect with over the past few years; a stepdaughter, Karen Weber Muller of Middletown; her devoted granddaughter, Kathleen Winch and her husband Michael of Toms River; and grandchildren, Lauren Weber, Paul Muller, Christine Reeder and Josh Reeder; four great grandchildren, Madison and Kaelin Winch and Thomas and Karleigh McCarthy; and a brother, Joseph Fagan and his wife Katie of Toms River.

Family and friends are invited Friday, December 20, 2013, from 4-8PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ 07735; and Saturday, December 21, 2013, 8:15AM at the funeral home, with a 9:15AM Mass at St. Ann's RC Church, Keansburg. Cremation is private. In lieu of flowers, the family asks a memorial donation be made in her name to the Veteran's Memorial Home, 132 Evergreen Road, Edison, NJ 08818. Dottie and I share many fond memories of Mary's lifetime of service to the veterans. I'll never forget how she used to dye my beard kelly green for the St.Patrick's Day parade in Montreal and Belmar. God bless you, Mary & Frank and the Weber family. John and Dottie Todd, Nalcrest,Florida

Mary was a wonderful person and will be missed by so many people. What she did for the Veteran's will never be forgotten. Her name and work at the VFW will be remembered for years to come. God Bless Mary and her family at this sad time.

Mary was a saint to those who knew her. I will miss her. I will never forget all the things she did for me as Commander of 2179.
