CLARE G. BATAILLE
AGE: 90 ELBERON
Clare G. Bataille, 90, of the Elberon section of Long Branch, died at home on Friday, Jan. 2, 2009. She was born in Uniontown, Pa. and moved to Long Branch in 1949. Clare served her country honorably in the U.S. Navy during WWII. After WWII, she worked as a secretary in N.Y.C. for RKO Radio. Later in life she worked as a childcare provider for Kinder Care, Long Branch. She was a Brownie troop leader during the early 1960's. Clare was dedicated to her family and will be greatly missed.
She was predeceased by her husband Robert E. Bataille in April of 2001. Surviving are two sons, Robert L. Bataille and his wife Susan, Wall and Clay Bataille and his wife Jayne, Toms River; two daughters, Michele H. Bataille, Manhattan, N.Y. and Yvette D. Bataille, Ft. Meyers, Fla.; six grandchildren, Rush Bataille, Clay Bataille, Brian Bataille, Lori Bataille, Andrew Bataille and Scott Bataille.

Visitation at the Hoffman Funeral Home, 415 Broadway, Long Branch will be from 4 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday with a funeral service to follow at 7:30 p.m. Interment Friday at the Brigadier General William C.
