Mary Carney Obituary
AGE: 90 • Keansburg
Mary F. Carney, 90, entered eternal life on April 13, 2017 at Bayside Manor in Keansburg. She was born in Bronx, New York and lived in Keyport, Long Island, North Bergen and eventually, Red Bank, New Jersey. Mary graduated from Fordham University with a BA and MA. She worked at WOR Radio Station and Bell Telephone Company in N.Y.C. Later, she taught at Keyport and Bay Shore Brightwaters, L.I. school districts.
Her pastimes included community volunteering, traveling, creating plays and reading. Daily, she read the N.Y. Times. She was keen witted and a sharp minded individual.
Our family wishes to thank the staff at Bayside Manor who were supportive and caring during her stay.
Mary was predeceased by her loving husband, James, in 2007. She is survived by many cousins throughout our country.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 from 9-11 am at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, 115 Tindall Rd., Middletown. A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 10:30 am during visitation. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown.

I lost touch with Mary several years ago when I could no longer reach her by phone. We would talk every few months. Mary and Jim were my neighbors when I moved to North Bergen and were very good to me.
I will never forget the talks I've had with Mary over the years and tried in vain to find out where she was.
My sincere condolences to the family. She was a wonderful person.
Rest in Peace Mary.
