I will miss calling the bond desk and feeling like I was the only advisor she worked with. Although I never met Barb in person, I always felt a smile on the phone.

I called Barb "Barbie-dear". She was the only person I addressed with that term. She was "dear" in every sense of the word. She was a beautiful soul and insightful, and I will miss her.

Barb and I shared many good times over the years. We met working at Merrill Lynch in Morristown. We were colleagues, we backpacked through Europe, we were roommates. She was a sweet, honest, hardworking, and caring person. I can only hope that for you all, Mrs. Czarnomski, Carl, Doug and family that the memory of who she was and the belief that she's now at peace is some comfort to you.

Barb and I worked together in the early 1990s. The firm du jour was “Shearson Lehman,” with or without “Hutton” and/or “Brothers.” (It was always difficult to keep track of the name). For me, a special memory of Barb involves a two month period when we were part of a team of five bond desk liaisons, meeting for breakfast two mornings a week, in preparing a detailed business plan. This was a seemingly huge effort which ended with a full scale presentation in a big conference room where we, the presenters, sat in a line before our managers, inquisition-style. Although we had a bullet-proof plan, supported by a host of solid ideas, Barb made sure we injected lots of humor into our presentation so that we didn't stray from our original concept of not taking ourselves too seriously. Our team had fun, we learned from the experience, the plan was very well-received, and I thoroughly enjoyed the chance to work with her away from the day-to-day demands of the bond desk. Two years ago she visited me in my Sea Girt office and mentioned the business plan episode. We laughed about it. I will certainly miss her.

Just remembering how Barbie was always bubbly and kind....and how after knowing her for 20+ years as a co-worker I just found out during a nice long beach walk a few months ago that we had actually lived just blocks apart when we were children on Staten Island. I will miss her.

I could not have asked for a better partner and friend through the years (many) at Citi. Compassionate, thoughtful, caring and oh so inquisitive. Been speaking with many of those that she touched through the years. The outpouring of affection and grief is incredible. My children have fond memories of their time spent with Barb on their visits to the trading floor.
The Baumeister family will miss Barb tremendously. Rest in Peace.
