Daniel Inglis Obituary
AGE: 25 • Lanoka Harbor
Daniel E. Inglis, age 25, a life long resident of Lanoka Harbor passed away on Monday December 31, 2012 at his home with his family by his side. Dan had worked as a Police Officer for the Union City Police Department for 16 months and had previously worked for the towns of Wildwood Crest and Beach Haven. He was a member of the Lanoka Harbor Volunteer Fire Company for 7 years, and the Insane Riders, North Chapter, where his nick name was "Hollywood". Dan graduated from Lacey High School in 2006, he loved his motorcycles and caring for his family and community.
Please remember Daniel's baby blue eyes, his heart melting smile and his love of life.
Surviving Dan are his beloved parents Daniel J., and Linda (Fitzgerald) Inglis, two loving sisters Jessica of Brick, and Rachel-Lynn, of Lanoka Harbor. He is also survived by his Paternal Great Grandmother Ethel Horvath of Bayville, Paternal Grandparents James and Ethel Inglis of Daytona Beach, FL, and his best friend and love of his life, Laine Meelheim, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A viewing will be held on Thursday January 3, 2013, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm, at the Riggs Funeral Home 130 Rt. 9 North (Main St), Forked River, NJ. A Fireman's Service will be held on Friday January 4, 2013 at 10:00 am at the Lanoka Harbor Fire House, Rt. 9, Lanoka Harbor, Interment shall follow at Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River. In lieu of flowers the family has requested contributions be made to the Lanoka Harbor Volunteer Fire Company P.O. Box 8, Lanoka Harbor, NJ 08734, or Lanoka Harbor EMS P.O. Box 267, Lanoka Harbor, NJ 08734 in Dan's memory.

Dan, you will surely be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing you!! You will always be remembered for you dedication to serve the public! It takes a special person in life to be able to put yourself in harm's way to protect and serve people that they don't know.
