Janet L. Dzienisiewski

AGE: 58 • Howell

Janet L. Dzienisiewski, 58, of Howell, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2013, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Twp. Janet was born in Staten Island, NY, and resided there until she moved to Howell 33 years ago. Janet was employed as a math teacher at Marlboro High School, Marlboro, NJ, for 16 years. Prior to that, she was a math teacher at Monsignor Donovan High School in Toms River, NJ, for 20 years. Janet also spent time as a Girl Scout Leader.

She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Paul J. Dzienisiewski; her daughter, Katherine E. Dzienisiewski of Howell; her parents, Richard and Alma Coccoli of Howell; her brother, Richard J. Coccoli and her sister-in-law, Julie R. Coccoli, both of Jackson; and her nieces, Sarah J. Coccoli and Veronica A. Coccoli.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visitation from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 17 and Thursday, July 18, 2013 at the George S. Hassler Funeral Home, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson. Her funeral service will take place at 8 p.m. Thursday, July 18, 2013 at the funeral home. A private cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Janet's memory to the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, 1111 Stewart Ave., Beth Page, NY 11714, www.lusgarten.org. Mrs. D was one of the most caring teachers when it came to teaching math. A lot of what she taught was not so easy to understand, but she made it so easy to do. She was one of
those teachers who cared about her students, and really tried her hardest in order to make sure she did her job right. Marlboro High School lost one amazing woman, and a wonderful teacher.

I am absolutely speechless -Marlboro High School lost another wonderful teacher -Mrs. D. Before I met this woman, math was not my subject, but in her class I felt like finally understood math.She cared for her students and want them to succeed We've also shared so many laughs and talks during free time in class. Janet was a true teacher in every sense of the word. She has touched the lives of so many students and colleagues. Always there with a smile and a wise crack. She leaves behind a hugh void. I will miss her a great deal. Be at peace.

Janet will be missed. I taught with her years ago at Choices and we both came to FRHSD part way through the same school year at FHS. We always looked for each other whenever the whole district met together. She was smart,funny,kind and always had a smile. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. Rest in Peace Janet.

Janet, Oh how I will miss you! We were close friends and co-teachers for so many years. You were always there for me and the students. We had so many great experiences and stories through the years. You were a great wife and mother and words cannot express how I feel right now.
