Father McGuire was a great guy - humble, funny and kind. He was beloved at Our Lady Queen of Peace on Staten Island. We were blessed to call you friend.

God Bless You Father McGuire. We fondly remember the days when we attended St. Colman's, you always made everyone seem special and you will be missed. God is gaining a great priest.

fr. mc guire was a great man and a great priest who loved EVERYBODY in east kingston ... whether you were a parishioner or not. whenever i walked in to play for a mass, he would go right to the phone and call rose iconetti. "rosie!" he'd say. "there's someone special here and he'd like to talk to you and say hi!" he always respected that parish and, because of him, made the parish grow! he knew the history of the parish like he grew up there. we lost a great man here on earth but heaven gained a great soul! i know that he is already being welcomed by many ... especially rose and dee guido! i was very blessed to have known and work with fr. mcguire. and i am sure that heavens' gates were wide open to receive him! somehow, i know that god has more work planned for him!!

Fr. Mac will bring such laughter and joy to Heaven. He was the holiest priest I had the privilege to know. He truly cared for his parishoners and was always available to us. When we needed confession, he was there, always. I miss him so much and know he is finally home.

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any man's death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.
