Kenneth Thoens Obituary
AGE: 72 • Howell Twp.
Kenneth M. Thoens, 72, of Howell Township died Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014 at MediCenter of Neptune City. Mr. Thoens was born in Jersey City. He served in the U. S. Merchant Marine Service and the U.S. Naval Reserves. Mr. Thoens was a member of the United Methodist Church of Milltown. He was a member of the Fair Haven Sailing Club, Barnegat Bay Association, Maine Maritime Academy Alumni Association, and was a dedicated member of AA since 1989 which helped change his life and the lives of many others.
Surviving are his daughter, Jenine M. Thoens-Tagliaferro and a son-in-law, Mark Tagliaferro; his former wife, Elfriede Cackowski; two brothers, John Thoens and his wife Mariam and Thomas Thoens and his wife Linda; his niece, Jennifer Thoens; two nephews, Jeffrey and Jonathan Thoens; and a granddaughter, Sienna Tagliaferro.
Relatives and friends may gather at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Friday at 3:45 p.m. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 4:00 p.m.

Janine......I am so sorry for the loss of your Dad. Hw was a awesome person and will be missed lots! May you and your family know that you do indeed have a new Angel watching over you all. I'm sure he;s already up there playing golf. :)

Love you daddy. I know you're still with all of us and we'll miss you forever but you were & always will be a blessing. You and mom always told me I was the blessing to you guys- but really, you guys have been and always will be my angels, my rock, my heart & soul forever. RIP dad and thank you so much for being the the wonderful person you have always been and will continue to be. I wouldn't be the person I am today without you and mommy. I know you're up there and probably no better with 'technology' but someone up there in the pearly gates will help you see this message. I love you always
