L. Constance Hagerty

AGE: 93 • Lakewood

L. Constance Hagerty, 93, of Lakewood, passed away at her home on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013. Mrs. Hagerty was born to Albert and Lauretta Vanner in Fall River, Massachusetts. She lived for many years in Maplewood, NJ, where she raised her family, before moving to Four Seasons, Lakewood, in 2003. She was a homemaker and animal lover, who supported many animal charities.

Mrs. Hagerty was predeceased by her husband, Gerard J. Hagerty Sr., in 2008, as well as by her sons, Gerard J. Hagerty Jr., in 1998, and Chad V. Hagerty, in 2013. She is survived by her daughter, Judeen Hagerty of Lakewood, as well as by her grandchildren, Raphael, Jillian and Antony Marcantoni, and Sean and Tara Lynn Hagerty, seven great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will take place at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013 at O'Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. Cremation took place privately. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. Hagerty's memory may be made to Church of the Visitation, 703 Lynnwood Ave., Brick, NJ 08723.
