Nicholas DelloRusso, 85, of Brick, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick. Born and raised in Montclair, he moved to Brick 57 years ago. Nicholas was the Assistant Superintendent of the Public Works Department in Brick for 33 years until his retirement in 1990. He was a co-owner of the Dairy Queen and The Shack in Brick. He was a member of the Elks Club, the Breton Woods Fire Company #1, the American Legion, and the Church of the Visitation. He was a ham radio operator, enjoyed wine making, and loved spending time with his family and friends.

Nicholas was predeceased by his parents, Gaetano and Carmella DelloRusso; his brother, Joseph; and his sisters, Josephine, Angelina, Concetta, and Bettina. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Agnes DelloRusso; his son, Thomas and his wife Suzanne DelloRusso of Bushkill, PA; his daughters, Linda Morris of Bayville, Marie and her husband Anthony Norcia of Point Pleasant, and Theresa DelloRusso of Brick; his brother, Alfonso of Verona; his brother, Thomas and his wife Olga of West Orange; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, April 28 at Weatherhead Young Funeral Home, 885 Mantoloking Road, Brick. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 29 at the funeral home, followed by entombment at Ocean County Memorial Park.
