AGE: 97 • Brick Twp.

Ruth C. Bartos, age 97, of Brick Township died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick. Ruth was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and lived a number of years in West Caldwell before moving to Brick Township over 30 years ago. Many years ago, Ruth was a social worker for NY City and left to become a wonderful and loving mother and homemaker. She was a member of the Church of the Epiphany of Brick. She was a former member of the Greenbriar I Drama Club. Ruth was also an avid reader, a master Bridge player and she loved cross word puzzles. She was a very gifted woman who excelled in both Math and Finance.

Ruth was pre-deceased by her husband, Myles and her brother, Robert Gordon. Surviving are 2 sons, Myles Paul Bartos and his wife Barbara of Blairstown, NJ and Christopher Bartos and his wife Betsy of Malvern, Pa.; 1 daughter, Valerie Casella of Columbia, Tn. She is also survived by her brother, Louis Panagini of Colorado and her sister, Dorothea Bellafiori also of Brick. Ruth has 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 12:noon in the Church of the Epiphany in Brick. Entombment will follow at St. Catharine's Cemetery in Wall Twsp. Viewing Hours are also Saturday from 9:30 to 11:30am at Colonial Funeral Home, 2170 Hwy. 88, Brick.
