Alyce (Matan) Psemeneki of Mountainside, NJ., died on Sunday, January 12, 2014 surrounded by her family. Alyce was born in Bayonne, NJ., and lived in Mountainside for more than 60 years. She worked for the Borough of Mountainside as secretary to the town engineer, building inspector, and Board of Adjustment.
She was the wife of the late Theodore Pszemenecki and sister of the late Edward Matan, Theresa Chakey, and MatildaPszczolkowski. She is survived by her son, Harold Psemenekiand his wife, Rose, her daughter, Alyce Hunter and her husband, Robert, nine grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her godson, Stanley Pszczolkowski.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 15 from 4-8 pm at Higgins and Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home, 582 Springfield Avenue in Westfield, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 am on Thursday, January 16 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Mountainside followed by the interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
