Anthony DeLorenzo, 91, a Middletown resident since 1953, died peacefully, Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Anthony was born in Brooklyn, NY to Felice and Filomena (Chiantella) DeLorenzo. He graduated from Bowman's Technical School. Anthony proudly served our country during WWII in the U.S. Army from 1942-1945. He then became a senior process engineer at Bendix Corp in Eatontown from 1951-1970. He was a hand engraver, watch maker, clock maker and jeweler for A.H. Fischer Diamonds in Red Bank. Finally, he retired from the U.S. Government as a letter carrier in 1992 after 22 years of service. He was a communicant of St. Leo the Great R.C. Church in Lincroft and formerly belonged to St Anthony of Padua R.C. Church in Red Bank.

Anthony was predeceased by his wife, Catherine A. (McCue) DeLorenzo; son-in-law, Raymond Stuetz; brothers, Louis and George; and sisters, Theresa Ferro, Pauline Wolcott, Eleanor Woodward and Catherine Poole. He is survived by his daughters, Catherine Stuetz of Waldwick, Donna Wendland and husband Mark of Hazlet, Colleen Berner and husband James of Tinton Falls, Diane Clinton and husband Edward, and Caroline Morris and husband Jay of Middletown, and Doreen DeLorenzo-Mulry of Hopemills, NC; grandchildren, Raymond A. and Ginny Stuetz, Joseph E. and Erin Stuetz, Dr. Rebecca L. and Joseph Hartwell, Jennifer A. Wendland and John Marandola, Zacchary T. Wendland and Casie Illig, Matthew A., Steven J., Michael R. and Joseph N. Berner, Christopher E. and Catherine M. Clinton, Jason and Jennifer Morris, Nicole C. Morris, Vincent J. Morris and Emily Booth, SSG Justin P. and Melissa Laberdee, Antonino (Tony) Laberdee and Amanda Katzoff and Robert J. Mulry; and great-grandchildren, Calloway J. Stuetz, Tyler A. Hartswell and Abigail R. Morris.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. & 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday, June 23 at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Ave., Red Bank. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday, June 24 at St. Leo the Great R.C. Church, Lincroft. Entombment will follow at Holmdel Mausoleum.
