Dennis W. Johnson, 67, of Holiday City Berkeley section of Berkeley Township passed away on Monday October 31, 2016 at home.
He was born in Trenton, NJ and lived in Toms River for 45 years before moving Holiday City Berkeley 9 years ago.
Dennis worked for the Oyster Point Hotel in Red Bank, NJ and then at Freehold Gardens in Freehold, NJ handling all of their maintenance and remodeling. He was an active member of the Bayville Elks. He loved music and played with the bands Plug Nickel and Small Change and was a member of the Central Jersey Blue Grass Association.
Surviving is his loving wife Barbara (Wisniewski), his son; Mark and his wife Wendi of Bluff City, TN, two daughters; Karen Fisher and her husband Greg of Forked River, NJ and Denise Kalapos of Toms River, NJ, two sisters; Edith Van Marter of Wytheville, VA and Barbara Shay of California, and seven grandchildren.
The Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals 145 St. Catherine Blvd. Toms River, NJ 08757 is in charge of the arrangements. Family will receive friends for a Memorial Celebration of Dennis's Life on Saturday November 26, 2016 at Holiday City @ Berkeley 631 Jamaica Blvd. Toms River, NJ from 2-5pm.
