I was a student at Mt. Vernon Ave. 1983-1991. Mrs. Terry always treated me with such care. I would sometimes create ailments just to go to her office and chat with her. She would kindly send me back to class and never let on that she knew I was faking.
My condolences to the family. Take comfort in knowing how much of a positive imact Mrs. Terry had on so many little lives.

Having a friend like Doris was one of the greatest blessings I could have ever had. Her love of God, family and friends was second to none. Doris would always find the perfect words of encouragement to make everything alright. Her smile and laugh was infectious. I will truly miss our very special friendship. Love you Doris!

Doris Terry has been the closest of friends with my mother, since they were children together in Springfield. Knowing Doris has been a great gift to four generations of our family.
I will always treasure the memory of Doris as a joyful woman of great faith who treated everyone with exceptional warmth and kindness. Doris was a patient listener and most wise. She had a sparkling sense of humor and a beautiful smile. Being with Doris was such great fun!
Most of all, I knew that her family was the great joy in her life, and that Doris delighted in each and every member of her clan.
I feel extremely blessed to have known Doris Terry. My thoughts and prayers are with her beloved family.
Warmest regards,

I worked with Doris for many years. My sympathy to her lovely family. She always beamed when talking about her family. She was a special person. I was so lucky to have worked with her.
I remembered her good nursing friend Betty Copely who also had a special place in her heart for St. Jude.
