EDWARD THOMAS GAUS
AGE: 41 EDISON
Edward Thomas Gaus passed away Thursday, July 23, 2010, in Oakhurst, NJ, at the age of 41. Ed experienced and loved life to the fullest. With his intellect, strong sense of humor, and happy nature, Ed was entertaining to be around. He always took things in stride and was generous with his time, going out of his way to help others; as an Eagle Scout or through volunteer work, he contributed to the community throughout his life. His passion for traveling exemplified his outgoing personality and free spirit. Ed grew up in Oakhurst and most recently lived in Edison, NJ. A graduate of Ocean Township High School ('86), he earned a BA ('90, cum laude) in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA in Finance ('05, summa cum laude) from Rutgers University. He worked for the past 14 years at AT&T, most recently as a finance manager. Previously, Ed had been a financial analyst at ADP and Concurrent Computer, and an investment banker at Janney, Montgomery, Scott.
Beloved son and brother, he is survived by his parents, Edward and Ingrid Gaus; sister, Stephanie and (husband Erik Evensen) Gaus, and brother, Wesley and (wife Ann) Gaus.
Pittsburgh, PA: Viewing at Devlin Funeral Home July 28, 7-9pm; funeral Mass at St. Sebastian Parish July 29, 10am; burial at St. Augustine RC Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in his name to the American Heart Association.
