Eve McGee, 82, a longtime Middletown and Red Bank resident, died Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Care One at King James. Eve was born in Philadelphia to Daniel and Agnes (Daly) Gallagher. She was a very outgoing lady always helping others. Eve was honored by Interfaith Neighbors for her dedicated volunteer service for over 10 years in preparing and serving meals to seniors. She had a great sense of humor, never forgetting a good punch line. She loved swimming and teaching her daughters that skill. But above all, she was faithful to her religion. When Eve was well she attended both St. James and St. Anthony's RC Churches in Red Bank.
Eve was predeceased by her parents, her sister, Mary Theresa Yost and by her former husband, Hugh McGee. She is survived by her loving daughters, Patricia Bender and husband Norman of Oceanport and Maureen Aguilar and husband Mark of Long Branch, sisters; Ann Parks of Wayne, PA and Mary Coughlin of Bluebell, PA and the loves of her life, her grandchildren; Kristina Knott, Mark Aguilar II, Dr. Kaitlyn Bender and Daniel Bender.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 10th from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Avenue, Red Bank.
