Florence Russomano, 92, of Oceanport peacefully passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at the St. Barnabas Health Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Long Branch, N.J. She was born in Newark, NJ and had resided in Oceanport since 1967. Florence was a communicant of St. Dorothea R. C. Church. She enjoyed going to Atlantic City, Monmouth Park, cooking and most of all spending time with family and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Daniel G. Russomano, Sr.; parents, Jack and Eva Palaia; a brother, Jack Palaia, Jr. and a sister, Viola Piermatti. She is survived by her two sons, Larry T. Russomano and his wife Linda A. of Oceanport and Daniel G. Russomano, Jr. and his wife Lori A. of Toms River; a sister, Evelyn Brown and her husband Jim of Oceanport; four grandchildren, Aimee Sciacca and her husband Joe, Daniel, Danielle, and Danny and two great grandchildren, Nicholas and James.
Visitation will be on Monday, April 8, 2013 from 10-11 AM followed by an 11 AM prayer service at Braun Funeral Home, 106 Broad St., Eatontown NJ. The entombment will take place at Woodbine Cemetery and Mausoleum in Oceanport. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to St. Barnabas Health Hospice and Palliative Care Center at Monmouth Medical Center, 300 2nd Ave., Long Branch NJ 07740.
