Gabrielle Hillman Obituary
Belmar
Gabrielle Rose Hillman, of Belmar, died unexpectedly on Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, at Delaware Valley College, Doylestown PA. She was a senior studying small animal sciences and computer programming. She was to graduate in May 2013. Gabrielle volunteered during the summer and on most weekends at Associated Humane Society Animal Shelter, Wykoff Road in Tinton Falls. She hoped to continue working with rescued animals after graduation. Gabrielle was a graduate of Saint Rose High School in Belmar where she played J.V. basketball and varsity soccer. She was active in the ECHO Club.
She is survived by her father, Joseph Hillman Jr.; and her sister, Elizabeth Grace Hillman. Her mother, Carol Rose Hillman, died in April 2012. She is also survived by her godmother, Maria Hernandez of Melbourne, Fla.; her aunt and uncle, Linda and Gunther Schmeidl of Wall Twp.; her friend, Michael Pannell of Middletown Twp.; and a host of extended family and friends.
A memorial visitation will be from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16 at the Reilly Funeral Home, 801 D St., Belmar. A Funeral Mass will be offered following visitation at 3 p.m. at The Church of Saint Rose, 7th Avenue and E St., Belmar. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gabrielle's name to the Humane Society of Tinton Falls or Saint Rose High School, Belmar, NJ would be appreciated.

I have fond memories of Gaby in the girl scouts at st. rose grammar school(like it was yesterday) and admired her determination on the st. rose high school soccer team. Gaby, I will miss you so much! You were a very special young lady. A kindred spirit. My friend and fellow volunteer. The animal world lost their very special advocate, and we all mourn your passing. The animals gone before you will be happy to see you in heaven. They will welcome you as we miss you so. My prayers for your family and friends Gaby. You will always be in my thoughts. Your dad should be so very proud of you! You have accomplished so much in your short life. You were loved by many!!
