AGE: 99 • Middletown

Geraldine Brennan, 99, passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2011, at Bayshore Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Holmdel. She lived in Fair Haven for most of her life where she was the owner of Colonial House Hairdressers for 26 years. In her later years, she lived in Middletown with her beloved daughter and son-in-law, Dana and Bill Meyler. Geraldine was a member of the Lady's Auxiliary of the Fair Haven Fire Company as well as a member of the Eastern Star. She was also a member of the United Methodist Church of Fair Haven.

Geraldine is predeceased by her parents, Henrietta and Louis Smith; her loving husband, Daniel; and her sister, Alida Davison. She leaves behind her cherished daughter, Dana and son-in-law, William of Middletown, as well as her dear grandchildren, Daniel and his wife Melisa of New York and Diana of Syracuse.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 1, 2011 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Ave., Red Bank. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday at 10am at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Atlantic Cemetery in Colts Neck.

We were very sorry to hear of the lost of Bub. We will always cherish the time we spent with her at your home in Middletown,The vacations we shared in St. Croix. She was a very special lady. Our deepest sympathy to you, Bill and Dan and Diana. We will keep her in our prayers and in our heart.
