AGE: 85 • Brick

Gertrude Marron, 85, of Brick passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at her home. Mrs. Marron was a Wall Township Tax Clerk for many years before retiring. She was a graduate of Weehawken High School. She also was a member of the Women of Irish Heritage Club and the Bobby Byrne Social Club.

Born in Hoboken, she grew up in Weehawken and lived in Jersey City and Wall before moving to Brick 11 years ago.

Surviving is her loving husband of 60 years, Vincent Marron, Sr.; sons, Vincent, Jr. and his wife, Margaret of Wall, Kenneth of Brick and David and his fiancé, Dianna Sugar as well of Tinton Falls; daughters, Eileen Valmas and her husband, Nick of Allenwood and Donna McAtee and her husband, Edward of Forked River. She also leaves 12 grandchildren, Joseph and his wife, Christin, Vincent, Kelly, Kirby, David, Kevin, Brian, Jared, Jake, Christopher, Caitlin and Padraic; as well as a dear cousin, Helen Oland of Florida.

Visiting will be on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the O'Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday 10am at St. Dominic's RC Church, Brick. Burial will take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Toms River.
