James M. Ferrano, 59, of Middletown, formerly of Matawan, passed away on Friday August 23, 2013 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. He was a real estate broker and agent. He was born in Red Bank and resided in Matawan before moving to Middletown 8 years ago. He was a graduate of Cedar Ridge High School in 1971 and earned his BA in Sociology from Rutgers University in 1975. He was a member of the National Association of Realtors, Monmouth County Board of Realtors and the Licensed New Jersey Real Estate Brokers. He served as the past President of the Matawan Rotary Club. He was an avid sports fan and loved Golf, the NY Giants, the NY Yankees and enjoyed attending races at Monmouth Park Racetrack. In his spare time he enjoyed gardening and was also an animal lover who adored his 3 rescued dogs.
James was predeceased by his loving sister-in-law Loreen Ferrano. James leaves behind his Fiancé Carolyn D. Fehr, his loving children Jaime Ferrano, Heather Whitaker and her husband James, and Anthony Ferrano, his parents James and Catherine Ferrano, 6 siblings Matthew and Maura Ferrano, Kathleen and Al Sobocinski, Margaret and Tony Sama, Timothy Ferrano, Michael Ferrano and his girlfriend Diane Campana, Patricia & Raymond Miller, 8 nephews Matthew, Christopher, Anthony, Nick, Timothy, Sean, Keith and Kevin, his former spouse Ruth Imbro, and many cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday August 28, 2013 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the Waitt Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday August 29, 2013 at St. Clement Church 11am and a private cremation will follow.
