John G. Motylewski, 65, of South Amboy, died Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Perth Amboy he lived in Parlin before moving to South Amboy 2 years ago. He was employed as a research specialist by BASF Corporation formerly Englehard Industries, Iselin where he also served as a captain of the company first aid squad. He was a member of the Sayreville Emergency Squad and was an assistant leader of Girl Scout Troop 527.
Son of the late John and Sophie Kijowski Motylewski. He is survived by his wife of 39 years Kathleen Rainone Motylewski; his daughter Judy Legg and her husband, Joseph of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida; his goddaughter, Joyce Starace of Sayreville, his godson, David Burdynski and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Monday December 10, 2012 at 10AM at The Gundrum Service "Home For Funerals" 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by interment at St. Stephens Cemetery, Keasbey. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2pm-4pm and 7pm and 9pm. In lieu of flowers donations maybe made to the Sayreville Emergency Squad, P.O. Box 9, Sayreville, NJ 08872.
