AGE: 90 • South Toms River
Joseph Jubert Jr., 90, of South Toms River, passed away at The Chelsea of Toms River, on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012. Born in Newark, he lived in Maplewood and Belleville before moving to South Toms River in 1960. He served in the U.S. Navy in WWII and later served in the U.S. Army Air Corps and U.S. Air Force, retiring in 1965. He then worked for the Toms River Post Office before retiring in 1985 and was past president and life member of the Manitou Park Fire Company. He served as a councilman for the Boro of South Toms River for 12 years, as well as serving as a Special Police Officer for the Boro and was a member of the VFW and American Legion in Toms River.
He was predeceased by his wife, Yolanda in February. Surviving are his children, daughter Helen Fuss and son Joseph and wife Jamie; sister, Joan Stone; grandchildren, Joseph John Jubert and his wife Melissa, Heather Fuss, Allen Fuss and his wife Patricia, William Jubert and his wife Shannon, Caitlin Jubert & Richard Henninger; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14, with a Fireman's service at 7:30 p.m. at the Family Owned Carmona-Bolen Home for Funerals, 412 Main St., Toms River. Funeral mass will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15 at St. Barnabas R.C. Church, Bayville, with burial to follow at St. Josephs Cemetery, Toms River. Condolences can be sent to carmonabolenfh.com.
