Judith "Judy" Wortman
AGE: 75 • Toms River
Judith ("Judy") Wortman, wife of Robert Wortman, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012 at 75 years of age. Born in Arverne, NY, Judy was a top fashion model and appeared in two Hollywood films during the 1950s. She was an active homemaker and volunteer during the years she helped raise her family in Woodmere, Long Island. Known throughout Toms River for her warmth and sense of humor, Judy used her talents to write, direct and perform in numerous shows for the Variety Club in Holiday City, Berkeley. Throughout Judy's courageous battles with illness over a period of many years, she continued to devote herself to her family and community and always brought a smile to all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Robert; her two children, Susan and Richard; and her grandson, Alexander.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012 at the Clarion Hotel, 813 Route 37 West, Toms River.
