Malcolm Campbell Sr., 69 of Toms River, passed away peacefully with his son at his side, on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at St Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care Center @ Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Born in Neptune, he has lived in Eatontown, Wall and for the past 11 years in Toms River. He was a heavy equipment mechanic for JF Kiely Construction Co., Long Branch for 14 years before retiring in 2010. Malcolm was a veteran of the United States Navy serving from 1969 to 1971.
Malcolm was the owner of the # 5 and # 15 Legend cars for the last 15 years. He was proud to call Wall Stadium his home track. He and his son traveled and raced at numerous tracks throughout the Northeast.
He is survived by his son Malcolm Campbell Jr., whom he was proud to say was his greatest accomplishment, his sisters; Lois "Cookie" Craig and Hope C. Hollenbeck and a brother Carroll Miller.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Bongarzone Funeral Home, 2400 Shafto Road, Tinton Falls. Memorial service will begin at 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the
