AGE: 87 • Perth Amboy

Marcos A. Suarez Sr., 87 of Perth Amboy, who passed away on Feb. 21, 2013 at his daughter Carmen's home with his family by his side. Born in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico, he lived in Perth Amboy for over 46 years. He was a Communicant of the Most Holy name of Jesus Parish at La Asuncion RC Church. He was employed by American Smelting and Refinery Company of Perth Amboy as a laborer for over 20 years. He retired when the Company closed. Marcos served in the United States Army during the Korean War.

He is preceeded in death by his loving parents Carmelo and Maria (nee Rivera) Suarez as well as seven brothers and sisters. He is survived by Carmen (nee Soto) his wife of 60 years. He is the beloved father of Ramon and his wife Norma of Perth Amboy, Marcos A. Jr. and his wife Evelyn of Jackson and Carmen Suarez Bess and her husband Carlos of Somerset. He is the dear brother of 4 brothers and 4 sisters. He is the adored grandfather of Carlos, Ramon, Monalizza, Tony, Caitlyn, Jolyvette and Charlie. We begin to leave on Feb. 25, 2013 at 10:15am from the Gustav J. Novak Funeral Home, 419 Barclay Street, Perth Amboy for a funeral mass at 11:00am at the Most Holy Name of Jesus Parish at La Asuncion RC Church. Burial will be at Alpine Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Sunday, Feb. 24, from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9pm.
