Margaret Canice Vander Leeuw, 85, of Manchester, died Thursday, January 17 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick. Born in Belleville, she lived in East Brunswick before moving to Manchester in 2008. She was employed as a realtor for Herbert M Tanzman in East Brunswick for 25 years. She volunteered her time with the East Brunswick Board of Education, was a member of the Young Democrats and served many positions within the Democratic Club. She was a member of the Rosary Altar Society of Corpus Christie in South River and was a dedicated homemaker. She is predeceased by her loving husband, John Joseph, who died in 1990, her brothers, John and Richard Crerand, and sister Edna P Crerand. Surviving is her son and daughter-in-law, John Richard and Patricia of Barnegat, her daughters Patricia Lynn and husband David Winter of Bel Air, MD, and Eileen Canice and her husband Michael Pfister of Lavallette, and her brother Eugene and his wife Muriel Crerand of Marietta, GA. Also surviving are her ten grandchildren, John, Megan, Thomas, Meredith, Allison, Jeffrey, Caitlin, Emily, Roman and Victoria, and five great grandchildren, Seth, Madelyn, Joey, Jocelyn, and Avery. Visitation is 1:00 to 5:00 PM Sunday, January 20 at Oliverie Funeral Home, 2925 Ridgeway Road, Manchester. Funeral Liturgy is 9:00 AM Monday, January 21 at St. John's Catholic Church in Lakehurst, with interment to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Bloomfield.
