Marilyn "Pinky" Regan

AGE: 87 • Oceanport

Marilyn "Pinky" Regan, 87, of Oceanport passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. She was born in Burlington, VT and has lived on the shore since 1954. She was a communicant of St. Michael's RC Church, West End. She retired after working for over twenty years as a bookkeeper for first Congressman James Howard and then Congressman Frank Pallone.

Pinky was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Jeremiah F. Regan in 1999 and two brothers, Erald Medlar and Howard Medlar. She is survived by her children, Jeremiah Regan of Oceanport, Timothy Regan and his wife Alice of Long Branch, Eileen Nikel of Shelburne VT, Maureen Karabin and her husband Robert of Shark River Hills and Neptune and Anne Regan of Beverly, MA; grandchildren, Jason Nikel, Erin Schmitt, Katie Nikel, Michaela Karabin, Robert Jeremiah Karabin, Kelly O'Donnell, John O'Donnell and Megan O'Donnell; great grandchildren, Tyler Nikel and Kaelyn Schmitt; siblings, Richard Medlar of South Burlington VT, Anita Shea of Weymouth, MA and Ruth Cannon of Colchester, VT.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Pinky's memory to International Rett Syndrome Foundation, 4600 Devitt Drive, Cincinatti, OH 45246 or www.rettsyndrome.org would be greatly appreciated. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 10th at the Hoffman Funeral Home, 415 Broadway, Long Branch from 2-4 & 6-8pm. A Mass Of Christian Burial will be held 9:30 am Monday, November 11th at Saint Michael's RC Church, West End, Long Branch. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Middletown, NJ.
