Marjorie E. O'Hara

AGE: 94 • Edison

Marjorie E. O'Hara (nee Thompson), 94, of Edison, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at her son's home in Columbus, GA. Born May 21, 1918, in Perth Amboy, she resided in Edison until 2008 and then moved to Mableton, GA, to live with her daughter. Marjorie graduated Rutgers University in 1939. She loved reading, painting, crossword puzzles, and playing cards. She also enjoyed traveling the world and visiting with family.

Marjorie was predeceased by her husband, Martin J. O'Hara, Jr., in 1981; sister, Audrey Growney; and grandsons, Martin O'Hara IV and David Tranger II. She is survived by her children, Dr. Martin J. O'Hara III and his wife, Kacha, of Columbus, GA, Mary Margaret Lang and her husband, Rudolph, of St. Charles, IL, Patricia Tranger and her husband, David, of Point Pleasant, NJ, Elisabeth O'Hara and Michael Soska, of Ardmore, PA, Ellen Gleason and her husband, J. Marne, of Mableton, GA, and Frances Perillo and her husband, Gary, of Edison, NJ; sister, Marie Rossi of Edison, NJ; grandchildren, Elizabeth Owen, Michael O'Hara, Sean O'Hara, Patricia Dazzo, Rudolph Lang, William Lang, Matthew Lang, Marjorie Lang, Randall Tranger, Christian Tranger, Alexandra Walge, J. Marne Gleason, Sarah Gaffner, Matthew Perillo, and Laura Perillo; 18 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 4-8 pm at the Flynn and Son/Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Ave., Metuchen, NJ 08840. Funeral services will begin Saturday at 8:30 am at the funeral home followed by a 9 am Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace Church in Fords. Interment will be in St. Gertrude's Cemetery in Colonia.
