Mary was born September 21, 1930 in Saint Peter's Hospital and spent her entire life in New Brunswick and North Brunswick. Mary married Al Salva, her husband of 58 years, and became a housewife and mother. Her four children were her greatest pride and joy! Mary had a great love for politics and was always very involved. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart R.C. Church, New Brunswick, as a child and most of her adult life. However, in her final years, she was a parishioner at St. Mary of Mount Virgin R.C Church in New Brunswick. Mary was a faithful catholic with a great devotion to the Blessed Mother. The last eight months of her life were spent at the Parker Home on River Road in Piscataway, due to her battle with dementia.
