Millicent Ann Borne

AGE: 87 • Hazlet

Millicent Ann Borne, 87, of Hazlet, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013, at Care One King James in Atlantic Highlands. She was born Millicent Ann Tynan on Sept. 7, 1925 in Brooklyn, NY, where she grew up. In 1956, she relocated to Union Beach, and in 2000, settled in Hazlet. Millicent spent most of her life as a homemaker, caring for her family. Millicent was a selfless person, who will be remembered for her kindness to all, especially children. We will miss her smiling eyes.

She was predeceased by her parents, Herman and Mary (Brown) Tynan; her siblings, Janet Bergelt and Kenneth Tynan, along with her beloved husband, John Joseph Borne. Millicent is survived by her loving children, Barbara Ann Ellison and her husband William of Apollo Beach, FL, Darlene Patrice Borne and her husband Richard Zinno of Palmetto, FL, and John Joseph Jr. and his wife Eleanor of Middletown; her cherished grandchildren, Kirsten Westhoven, Scott Ellison, Ryan Cole, Bridget Lynn Cole, Katelyn Mary Borne, Hannah Rose Borne, John "Jack" Joseph Borne III, along with her adored great-grandchildren, Josephine Mercado and Seth Ellison. She will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit from 2 to 4 p.m. & 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23 and from 8:15 to 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24 that the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3269 State Rt. 35 N., Hazlet. Mass of Christian Burial 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24 at Holy Family R.C. Church. In respect of Millicent's wishes, she will be privately cremated.
