Nancy Jane Pickell, age 66, of Wall Twp., NJ, died on Saturday, April 25, 2009, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. She was born in Long Branch, lived in Wall, and was a lifelong resident of Monmouth County. She worked as a Home Health Aide for Meridian Health Care. She was a former parishioner of St. Michael's Church in Long Branch. She was an avid fan of the NY Giants and NASCAR. She also loved watching her grandson's sporting events. She was compassionate to people and animals.
She was predeceased by her husband, Dennis Larry Pickell, in 1986 and her brother, Bobby Guilfoyle, in 1979. She is survived by her son, Michael Pickell and his wife Cheryl of Neptune; her daughter, Christine Janssen and her husband Dave of Wall; her sister, Cathleen Hoenge and fiance Frank Kardos of North Venice, Fla.; and two grandchildren, David and Andrew. She is also survived by her niece, Marilyn Hoenge of Hobo Sound, Fla.; and her lifelong friend, Fred Yobs of Teaneck.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 29 from 7 to 9p.m. Funeral to leave the Francioni, Taylor & Lopez Funeral Home, 1200 10th & Atkins Ave., Neptune, at 10a.m. for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30a.m. on Thursday, April 30 at St. Rose R.C.
