Patricia Thomas, 66, from Parlin passed away suddenly December 30th at home. Born in Jersey City, NJ., Pat resided in Parlin for the past 40 years.
Prior to her retirement, Pat was an executive assistant for various firms, including American Express and Advanstar Communications. Pat had a vibrant personality and was a good friend to many. She enjoyed taking spontaneous trips to Williamsburg, VA., and Lancaster, PA., and she enjoyed cruises. Her heart was in the South and she loved visiting family there.
Above all, Pat was a loving mother, sister, aunt and granny who will be missed by all who knew her. Pat is survived by her daughter, Kim Mory, and her husband, Adam; her son, Robert Thomas; her sister, Barbara Sefchick, and her husband, Dave; her sister, Edna Bock, and her husband, Michael; her grandsons, Michael and Brandon; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday, Jan 4th from 10 AM to 12 PM at Whiteley Funeral Home, 241 Bordentown Ave., South Amboy. Interment to follow at Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations in Pat's memory be made to the Children's Hemiplegia and Stroke Association at www.firstgiving.com/fundraiser/kimmory/streak-for-pediatric-stroke-2013.
