AGE: 80 • Oakhurst

Richard J. Salmon, 80 of Oakhurst, died peacefully on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at home. Dick was a Senior Vice President for several savings and loan banks. Dick was a member of the American MENSA, Ltd; served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy; and a parishioner of St. Michael's R.C. Church in West End, Long Branch.

Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Sarah Salmon; 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Jeffrey Salmon and Timothy and Leah Salmon; a brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Bette Salmon; 3 grandchildren, Sheamus, Emilee, and Hunter and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 20 from 3-6 pm at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave. (corner of Third Ave.) in Long Branch. Funeral Monday; 9 am at the funeral home followed by a 10 am Mass at St. Michael's Church in Long Branch. Entombment will be at Woodbine Mausoleum in Oceanport. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the of NJ, PO Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241 or , 14 Commerce Drive, # 301, Cranford, NJ 07016.
