Sheldon Gerald Nadell, age 84, a wonderful, special, witty and warm man, died peacefully on Saturday, April 19, 2014. Shelly was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on April 20, 1929, and was educated at NYU and City College of NY. He served during the Korean War in Germany, in the Army Special Intelligence Ordinance Unit. He worked as an international trader with the Commercial Metals Company in NYC. Sheldon lived in Oceanside, NY before retiring to Boynton Beach in 1994.
Shelly will be profoundly missed by his wife, Mildred of 63 years; his two sons, Jeffrey of Long Branch, NJ, Todd and his wife Sunny of North Bellmore, NY; his daughter, Stacey Platt and her husband Chris of Rockaway Park, NY; his sister, Harlene Golden of Bloomfield, NJ and his six grandchildren, Jason, Benjamin, Jordan, Leigh, Elizabeth and Alex.
A service was held at Riverside Gordon Memorial Chapels, Delray Beach, FL. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th fl., New York, NY 10001.

While we mourn the loss of Sheldon Nadell, we can take solace in knowing that he had a full life, and we were blessed to have him in our lives. We can share the memories of this outstanding man, who was loved for his warmth, wit, wonderful personality, and for the joy he brought into this world. He will always live in our thoughts and prayers.
