Valerie A. Bell
AGE: 67 • Manchester
Valerie A. Bell, 67, of Manchester, passed away on August 7, 2011 at the Community Hospital Hospice. She had fought a battle with cancer for two years. Born and raised in the Park Slope Section of Brooklyn, NY, she attended all the local schools.Valerie was then employed by major corporations in Manhattan. In 1968 she met and married Ronald Bell. Valerie then pursued an associates degree from Middlesex College. Not to be hesitant, she sat for the Registered Nurse program and passed at the first sitting. This was followed by a tenure of eleven years as a staff nurse in Hamilton Hospital. Valerie was a great cook and always looked forward to treating her holiday guests.
In addition to her beloved husband of 42 years, she is survived by sons, Craig and Darren; three sisters and two grandchildren.
A viewing will be held at 7-9 on Thursday, August 11, at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Road, Manchester, NJ, followed by a service at Redeemer Lutheran Church on Friday 10 AM, Aug. 12, Route 70, Manchester. Interment is at Old Tennent Cemetary, Manalapan, NJ.
