Vincent DeLorenzo Obituary
Vincent DeLorenzo

AGE: 66 • Deal

Vincent DeLorenzo, 66 of Deal, passed away suddenly on April 19. Born and bred in Jersey City, he graduated from St. Peter's Preparatory School and majored in Accounting at St. Peter's College. He started as a CPA with Price Waterhouse before moving on to the conglomerate Kidde, Inc. where he eventually rose to Senior Vice President and Controller. After leaving Kidde, Vincent developed a prosperous accounting and management consultancy for two decades where he advised individuals, small corporations and nonprofit entities. A serial entrepreneur for most of his adult life, Vincent also owned and created several businesses including car dealerships and real estate companies. He married Barbara Wisniewski of Weehawken in 1970 and they made their home in Little Ferry, Bergen County. Vincent was active in the local community, a long time parishioner of St. Margaret's Church and a member of several local charitable and service organizations, including the Elks and the Knights of Columbus. Never far from his Jersey City roots, he was proud of his high school alma mater and was actively engaged in the St. Peters Prep Alumni Association, preparing in the last few weeks for his fiftieth reunion. After raising their children, Vincent and his wife relocated to Deal, a lifelong dream of his and where nearby he spent many summers of his youth. There he was a member of the Deal Country Club and served as a local commissioner for the town, putting his many decades of financial experience to use. His contributions and financial recommendations on the board were admired by local taxpayers.

Vincent is survived by his wife Barbara, son Vincent of London, England, daughter Jennifer of Weehawken and son Michael of Glen Rock. He is also survived by sister Jeanne and brother Carl, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was an adoring and doting grandfather of seven grandchildren, recently visiting them in Paris and London.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 22 & Tuesday, April 23 from 4:00 p.m. though 9:00 p.m. at the Introcaso Angelo Funeral Home, 143 Brunswick St., Jersey City, NJ.
