Glennon L. Depetris

AGE: 87 • Berkeley Township

Glennon L. Depetris, 87, of Silver Ridge Park North section of Berkeley Twp., NJ passed away Monday, February 17, 2014 at Community Medical Center, Toms River.

Born in Newark, NJ, he was raised in Bloomfield, NJ and lived in Montville, NJ for 27 years before moving to Berkeley Twp. 18 years.

Glennon was a carpenter for the United Brotherhood of Carpenters & Joiners of America Local 124, Totowa, NJ for many years.

He was a US Navy WWII and Korean War veteran.

Glennon was a parishioner of St. Justin RC Church, Toms River, served as Berkeley Twp Councilman and was a member of the VFW Post 9458, Bloomingdale, NJ.

He was predeceased by his son Kurt.

Surviving are his wife of 62 years Sophia (nee Mauro), 2 sons Glennon Depetris of Lake Hiawatha, NJ, Mark Depetris and his wife Susan of Lake Hiawatha, NJ, a daughter Cindy Maier and her husband Doug of Long Valley, NJ, a brother David Depetris, a sister Virginia Schroller and 4 grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday February 20, 2014 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River. A funeral service will be offered 11:30am Friday February 21, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial to follow the New Jersey Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ 1pm.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Care Giver Volunteers of Central Jersey, 253 Chestnut St., Toms River, NJ 08753.
