Theodore Paich

AGE: 84 • Holmdel

Theodore Paich, 84, of Holmdel, passed away Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014, at his home. He was born in Rockland Township, Venango County, Pennsylvania and was a Holmdel resident for over 50 years. Ted was an Army veteran who served as a rifleman with the Second Infantry Division in the Korean War, receiving a Purple Heart. He was a graduate of Clarion State College (Pa.) and a teacher for 25 years in the Keyport, New Jersey school district. He was also a member of the Holmdel, NJ Board of Education for several years.

The beloved husband of 50 years to the late Sheila Francis Paich, Ted is survived by his brother, Paul Paich of Kennerdell, Pa.; son, Wesley Paich and his wife Jill of Cliffwood Beach; son, David Paich and his wife Jennifer of Old Bridge; daughter, Heather Paich of Cliffwood Beach; and grandson, Alex Paich.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014, with a service at 7:30 p.m. at Bedle Funeral Home, 61 Broad St., Keyport. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
