AGE: 89 • Belford

Veronica C. Geraghty, 89, of Belford, NJ, died on February 25, 2014 at Chapin Hill in Red Bank, NJ. She was born in Newark, NJ and moved to the area in 1963. Veronica worked as a Site Manager for the Keansburg Senior Center. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and she was an Associate of the Sisters of Mercy. Veronica loved cooking and baking and she adored her family. She was an avid reader, purchasing the new Mary Higgins Clarke novels as soon as they hit the shelves. She enjoyed watching movies on Turner Classic Movie channel, her favorite movie of all time was The Wizard of Oz. She was fond of Bingo and trips to Atlantic City to play the slots.

Surviving are her 4 daughters and their spouses, Kathleen and Ken Butterbrodt, Irene Davenport, Trish and Don Gioggia, and Claire Engel-Geraghty; her 11 grandchildren, Eugene and his wife Kelly, Mary and her husband Dave, William, Jamie, Desiree, Lindsey, Brandon, Danielle, Bernadine, Ron, and John; her 9 great-grandchildren, Kellia, Brian, Vinny, Kayla, Hartson, Andrew, Anna Rose, Christopher, and Andrew; her 2 brothers, Joe and Steve Keenan; and many nieces and nephews.

Veronica was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eugene Geraghty in 1985, her son, Joseph Geraghty in 2008, her twin brother, Jack Bradley, and her brother, Alan Bradley.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, 115 Tindall Road, Middletown. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, March 1 at 8:15 am at the funeral home. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered Saturday, March 1 at 9:15 am at St. Ann's RC Church, Carr Ave., Keansburg. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Middletown.
