Charlotte Isabel Robinson, 89, of Wall Twp., died Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. Born in Wall Twp., she was a life-long resident of West Belmar. Ms. Robinson began her career in 1953 as secretary to the late Judge Elvin R. Simmill and served as the Administrative Assistant for five Monmouth County Superior Court judges before retiring in 1983. She was a longtime member of West Belmar United Methodist Church. She taught Sunday school for 50 years and served in many areas of church life. A certified Lay Speaker, she was a former member of Belmar United Methodist Church.
Ms. Robinson was pre-deceased by two brothers, Mahlon Robinson and Reverend James W. Robinson, her beloved sister and best friend, Marjorie J. Robinson and her nephew, Michael J. Robinson. She is survived by her brother, Charles P. Robinson Jr. of Neptune and sister, Catherine E. Saxion of Sea Girt. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, 2 great-great-nieces and 1 great-great-nephew.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 3 at 11:00am at the West Belmar United Methodist Church. Graveside Services were held privately at Atlantic View Cemetery in Manasquan.
The Neary-Quinn Funeral Home, 39 South Street in Manasquan is in charge of arrangements.
