AGE: 87 • Toms River

Howard Ruede, 87, passed away at home on Saturday, May 24, 2014, with his loving wife, Jean by his side. He grew up in Jersey City. Howard and his wife lived in Rutherford in 1954 prior to retiring to Toms River in 1985. Howard was a chauffeur for Carey Cadillacs and a private chauffeur for St. Reges Paper Company, and also a member of the Toms River Elks Lodge.

Howard was predeceased by his parents, John and Ella Ruede; a brother, John Ruede; and a son, Dennis Ruede. He is survived by his wife, Jean of 66 years; 3 sons, Gary of Albany, NY, Ronald of Suffern, NY, and Richard of Barrington; and a granddaughter, Joelle of Albany, NY.
