Ann Masterson (nee Sweeney), 86, of Holiday City, Berkeley Twp., passed away Saturday, June 7, 2014.

Born and raised in Newark, she lived in Kenilworth for over 40 years before moving to Berkeley Twp. in 2006.

Ann was a Municipal Clerk for the Twp. of Kenilworth for 10 years and was a Hospice Volunteer in Union County for 10 years.

She was parishioner of St. Maximilian Kolbe R.C. Church, Berkeley Twp. and was a former member of St. Theresa R.C. Church, Kenilworth. She was also a member of the Women of Irish Heritage, Spring Lake, the Irish American Club of Holiday City Berkeley and the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, West Orange.

A beautiful life that came to an end, she died as she lived, everyone's friend. In our hearts, a memory will always be kept of one we loved and will never forget.

Ann was predeceased by her husband, William Masterson, in 2007. She is survived by her 6 children and their spouses, Kevin & Christine Masterson of Trenton, Maureen & Stephen Palmere of Eaton, NY, Karen & Ted Phillips of Waretown, Theresa & Gerry Blass of Colts Neck, Barbara Masterson & Carol of Kenilworth, and Nancy & Doug Hunter of Elizabeth; a brother and sister-in-law, John & Pat Sweeney of Lavallette; 2 sisters, Bridget Sweeney of Brick, and Mary Hall of Belmar; 11 grandchildren, Christine, Rana, Melanie, Bryan, Billie, Leah, Tara, Greg, Trevor, Sean & Kailey, 9 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will receive friends Thursday 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Friday 11:30am at St. Maximilian Kolbe R.C. Church, Berkeley Twp. Burial to follow at the New Jersey Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 and/or a .
