Antoinette J. Kochon

AGE: 89 • Atlantic Highlands

Antoinette J. (Caso) Kochon, died at home on Monday, June 16, 2014, in the company of her loved ones at the age of 89. The first-born of Italian immigrants, she is predeceased by her parents, Anthony and Fortuna (Testa) Caso and her siblings, Margaret Scales and Modesto Caso.

As a devoted wife and loving mother, she is also predeceased by her husband, Herbert J. Kochon Sr. and her sons, John H. Kochon and Herbert J. Kochon Jr. Known as "Inky" and "Queen Anne", she will be remembered for her depth of faith in God and the tireless love she exhibited toward others. Her memory is especially precious to her family who survive, her children, Marianne Rounds, Kathleen Hill, Regina Kochon, and Michael Kochon; her sister-in-law, Mary Ann Caso; her daughter-in-law, Sherry Kochon; her grandchildren, Lisa, Jennifer, Laura, Shane, Jillian, Kristy, Jake, and Sam; her seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and cousins, all of whom have been a well-spring of love and support to her in her waning years.

Beyond the many sacrifices given by Ann, in marriage, parenting, and family care, she was employed as a telephone operator for N.J. Bell. She displayed a robust sense of humor, enjoyed music, dancing, and family celebrations.

Relatives and friends are invited to call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 18 at Posten's Funeral Home, 59 E. Lincoln Ave., Atlantic Highlands. Her funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 19 at St. Agnes R.C. Church, Center Avenue, Atlantic Highlands. Interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be given to St. Vincent de Paul Society, c/o St. Agnes Church or the Atlantic Highlands First Aid Squad.
