James Allen Burdge, 50, of Cass City, MI, formerly of Farmingdale, NJ passed away on Friday, June 20, 2014 at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI. Mr. Burdge was the owner operator and truck driver of JB Enterprises in Farmingdale. He was a graduate of Wall High School. Jimmy enjoyed many hobbies including riding his Harley Davidsons and classic cars. He was a hard worker his entire life as master mechanic and could rebuild anything but most of all he was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and brother.
Born and raised in Farmingdale, he lived in Wall before moving to Cass City, MI two years ago.
Mr. Burdge was preceded in death by his mother, Janice M. Woolley in 1992. Surviving is his wife, Susan I. Burdge, formerly of Jackson; daughters, Jessica M. Burdge and Lacey R. Burdge, both of Cass City, MI and formerly of Farmingdale; his father, Walter M. Burdge Jr. and his wife Kimbra of Cass City, MI; his brother, Tyler M. Burdge of Clinton Twp., MI; sisters, Melissa A. Rapisardi of Wall, and Tamara L. O'Neil of Key West, FL; a granddaughter Lily Epperson; step daughter Mandy Tew; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Visiting will be on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the O'Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35, Wall. A funeral service will be held on Saturday 10am in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Farmingdale. Donations may be made in his name to a melanoma or breast cancer
