James Aloysius Ward Jr.

AGE: 87 • Little Silver

James Aloysius Ward Jr., 87, of Little Silver, died peacefully on Saturday morning, July 26, 2014. James was born in Jersey City to James A. Ward Sr. and Mae (Lambert) Ward. He was a 1950 graduate of St. Peter's College. James honorably served in the US Navy during WWII. He retired as an advertising executive in New York City. James was a longtime communicant of Holy Cross RC Church in Rumson. James was a past officer of the University Club.

He was predeceased by his parents and brothers, Francis and Robert. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Regina (Kennelly) Ward, his daughter, Regina Ward McLean and her husband John Patrick of Rumson, brothers, John and wife Adelaide of Paramus and Kevin and his wife Ethel of Mountainside, brothers-in-law, Joseph Kennelly and wife Elene of River Edge and Thomas Kennelly of Westfield, his cherished grand-daughter, Morgan Brooke McLean of Rumson and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be offered at Holy Cross Chapel, Rumson, NJ on Tuesday, July 29th at 10:30am. Entombment will be private.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in James' name to Providence College Angel Fund, Office of Institutional Advancement Providence College, One Cunningham Square, Providence, RI 02918.
