Filomena Fay Rubolino Flanagan, 82, of Punta Gorda, FL, formerly of Jackson, NJ, died Saturday, July 26, 2014, at Hospice House in the arms of her daughter. She graduated with honors from Ocean County College and was a registered nurse with Kimball Medical Center for many years, retiring in 1986. She was a member of the Jackson Fire Dept 1 Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Rosary Altar Society of St. Veronica's Church in Howell. Born in New York City, she lived in Jackson, before moving to Florida after her retirement.
She is predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Antoinette Rubolino; beloved husband, Michael, and granddaughter, Bernadette. Surviving are her three sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Georgette, Glen and Toni, and Del and Jackie and her daughter and son-in-law, Fay and Jim Donaghy. Also surviving are her sisters, Eleanor Tamburri, Marie Stohr and her brother and sister-in-law, Nicholas and Annette Rubolino. Grandma Fay loved and adored her grandchildren, Michael, Jason, Brian, Kimberly, Edward, Nicole, Fay, Erin, and Matthew and great-grandchildren, Ariella, Dante, Aiden, Brayden, Valentina, Carissa, Christine, Siena, Peyton, Patrick, Giordana, and Jaxon.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 31 at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St., Toms River. A funeral Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 1 at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church. Entombment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Toms River.
