Rosemary Donohue died Monday, Aug. 11, 2014 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick. She was 85. Born and raised in Queens, NY, she resided there for most of her life before settling in Lakewood 11 years ago. Prior to retiring, she was a Supervisor for the NYC Housing Authority where she worked for 20 years. After retirement, she became an Administrative Supervisor for the NYPD. Rosemary was a parishioner of St. Mary of the Lake RC Church, Lakewood, and was also an active and dedicated member of her church's choir.
Surviving is her loving husband of 46 years, John P. Donohue; 3 sons, Michael, Thomas and his wife Katherine, and James and his wife Caroline; 2 grandchildren, Connor & Reagan; a brother, John Faughnan; 3 sisters-in-law, Theresa Galvin and her husband Patrick, Mary Ellen Donohue, SUSC, and Mary Donohue; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary of the Lake RC Church, Lakewood. Cremation will be private.
