William A. Strassheim, 70, of Brick, NJ, beloved husband and best friend of Nancy (Brown) Strassheim for 47 years, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the ones he laughed with, lived for and loved on Monday, Aug. 18, 2014. William was born in Philadelphia, Pa. on June 18, 1944. He had lived in Oakhurst before moving to Brick 46 years ago. He was a Marine Veteran of the Viet Nam War. A former member of the Pt. Pleasant Beach Elks Post 1698 and the Natl. Alarm Assoc. He was the proud owner and founder of Heim Electronics, Inc. since 1976. He had many long time clients he considered friends and was proud of the company that he built along with his family. He retired three years ago leaving the company to be managed by his children.
Besides his wife, Nancy, William is survived by their five loving children, William and his wife, Robin of Pt. Pleasant, Dawn and her husband, Christopher Cicardo of Toms River, Daniel and his fiancée, Stephanie Zelinsky, of Toms River, Michael and his wife, Michele of Brick and Jennifer Strassheim-Fleming of Toms River. He was the proud and dedicated grandfather to; Tyler, Nicholas, Joseph, Ryan, Samantha, Noah, Weston, Lucy, Dawn, Emily, Lily and William, as well as several brothers and sisters, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, William G. Strassheim and Margaret Byron.
A Gathering of friends and family will be held on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Colonial Funeral Home, 2170 Hwy. 88, Brick with a Memorial Service on Saturday at 10:00am. Entombment of Cremated remains will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Brielle. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in his memory to SPFAST, State Police Family Assist & Support for Troopers, PO BOX 43, Sea Girt, NJ 08750 or to Exit 82 Theatre Group, 1020 Crystal Drive, Toms River, NJ 08753, which his grandson Tyler is involved with.
